This compound is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in Cannabis. It is a homolog of cannabidiol, with the side-chain shortened by two methylene bridges. Plants with relatively high levels of CBDV have been reported in feral populations of C. indica from northwest India, and in hashish from Nepal.
According to Cresco Labs, similar to CBD, a study showed that CBDV significantly reduced seizures and severity of pain, as well as nausea associated with several conditions, and reduced inflammation throughout the body. CBDV was also beneficial in the treatment of pain and mood disorders.
