Cannabigerivarin CBGV is a lesser-known cannabinoid found in the cannabis sativa plant. CBGV is considered an analog of CBG, meaning that it is a very similar chemical compound that only differs in a specific aspect. In the case of CBG and CBGV, that difference is in their carbon rings.
Because CBGV is an analog of CBG, it could have some of the same benefits associated with CBG. CBG has shown promise as an anti-bacterial as well as an analgesic. Additionally, it has done well in trial treatments of the following:
- Colon cancer
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Bladder dysfunctions
