Hype Seeds Colorado Winter Coat Drive
Partnered with Local Charitable Organization
Hype Seeds has partnered with local organization the Pueblo Co-operative Care Center to help facilitate the donated goods of new winter coats and gently used jackets to the people that need it the most. Whether they are homeless or close to it, everybody deserves a decent winter jacket just in case when it decides to snow storm or blizzard.
Not everybody has easy access to warmth or a hot shower, and so lets think about those people in need and help out a fellow human when we can. The world would be a much better place if everybody just helped out our fellow species a little bit more, and we’re just trying to do our part and lead by example.
Donations for Who?
Being based out of southern Colorado, the weather can get extremely harsh, especially during the winter time. Not everyone is equipped with a good winter jacket or thermals, so why not bless a stranger in need if you can afford to part ways with an old faded winter coat or a pair of gloves from last season.
Hype Seeds also donates winter gear to locals in the community directly and prefers to see it go right to the person using it. Unfortunately in Colorado, there is a good amount of homelessness and or hitch hikers making their way up and down the interstate I-25. Some of the unlucky transient population get stranded in rural areas of local towns and end up living out of abandoned cars or worst a tent.
No matter what anybody’s situation is, we don’t want to see people freeze to death, which still happens every year somehow. even in 2021. Our ultimate goal is to help put an end to that tragedy, and build a support network of donors who want to help out others without expecting anything in return except maybe a “Thank You”.
Collecting Donations from November to February
The Hype Seeds Winter Coat Drive will run from November 2021 up until February 2022. Please feel free to contact us between that time to make a charitable donation, coordinate a pickup, or just talk about other ways and ideas to help.
Acceptable Donation Items
Obviously we prefer new or gently used winter coats or jackets, but there are other winter items that come in handy. Other acceptable donation items must be new or or close to new, including the list below:
- thermals tops (new only)
- thermal bottoms (new only)
- underwear (new only)
- wool socks
- beanies
- hoodies
- gloves
- scarfs
- hand warmers
How to Donate
Contact us on social media or submit a donation request here below and we’ll be in touch. If you have an extra coat lying around that’s collecting dust, donate it for a great cause and help keep a stranger stay warm this winter. The littlest of gestures are often the ones that carry the most impact.
Our Goal
Hype Seed’s goal for this Colorado Winter Coat Drive is to collect as many donations as possible by the end of February 2022. Helping as many people as we can along the way, but if we can make the difference in just one person’s life and somehow inspire others to do the same, then we’ll consider that a win in our book.
